Since The Uncertain Kingdom launched in 2018, the national mood has become no more certain. In the absence of certainty, we have belief.
The Uncertain Kingdom will give 5 filmmaking teams up to £20,000 each to make a short film on the theme of ‘belief’.
The brief is deliberately broad. We want filmmakers to show us what ‘belief’ means to them.
The films will be released together as an anthology by Verve Pictures towards the end of 2024.
Applications have now closed. We’ll be announcing the funded projects in March 2024. We are not planning to open the short film fund again in the near future.
